this week

a few things from this week

had a lot of phone calls with doctors and surgeons this week. I always go in the bathroom, shut the door and sit on the floor with the light off for these calls. I can concentrate a lot better like this, I dont know why.

I found 2 cute scarves at the mall today to cover my scar after the surgery. Once it is healed, I think I’ll actually like the scar. I feel like each time I see it, it will be a sweet reminder of so many small things God is teaching me through this. But until it heals, a scarf will be worn to protect it from little kids finger nails… ouch!!

My mom and brother (khalil) flew in and suprised me for a visit yesterday. Can’t think of a better suprise than having family here.

Joe Khalil and i are going to see the Blind Side tonight

Some kids broke in our car last night and stole our GPS. They dropped it when a neighbor yelled at them so we got it back. The cord is missing though so we have to go buy one. scary

As I was getting ready this morning Khalil was pretending to dunk my kids heads in the toilet. I didn’t even mess with it. It used to be so funny when we did this to our little cousins…. I never knew why my aunt would get mad at us. now I get it.

My mom is on a victim kick with me. She is constantly trying to pop fresh fruit and vegetables in my mouth right now. I need to be sweet and just keep listening as she tells me she knew “of a woman once that ate a bag of carrots every day and her cancer left. Sabrina, here skin turned orange. ” She’s told me this story at least 10 times in the past 2 weeks. I guess you never stop being a mom.
