from Vernon Mcgee:

“When I think of the testings of this life, I am reminded of the deacon who got up in a testimony meeting in which the people were being asked to give their favorite verses of Scripture. This deacon got up and said, “My favorite verse is ‘It came to pass.’” The minister looked up in amazement, and all the people were puzzled. Finally, the pastor asked, “Brother, what do you mean your favorite verse is ‘It came to pass’?” The man replied, “When I have trouble and trials, I just go to the Lord and praise Him and say, ‘I thank You, Lord, that it came to pass—it didn’t come to stay!’”

Isn’t that good! I love it. This sickness is gonna pass. All trials come to an end eventually. Isn’t it encouraging to know God hasn’t called us to go through difficult things for eternity. He doesn’t ask us to walk through a valley without seeing a mountain top ahead. My mountain top is this baby. A blessing at the end of this trial. So thankful for this truth today.

Some good things from this week:

a lady from church showed up at my doorstep expectantly last night. She had made our family dinner for tonight. The Lord encouraged me so much through her. My family still wants to eat even though I can’t each much food right now. God, thank you so much for Lori bringing dinner last night. You encouraged my heart that Your promises are TRUE. You will never leave me or forsake me. Praise YOU God

My kids are being really good this week. It seems like they are just having a good week. It’s not a week filled with a lot of spankings and correction. They’ve played really well together all week as I’ve been sick. Once again, God’s mercy on me!

Joe’s been really good to me. I don’t know what i would be doing right now without that man. He has taken good care of me and the kids.

I’ve been eating meals at 5 in the morning. It’s about the only time I can eat. Whatever works, I guess.

Subway is my best friend
